Food Manager Certification Exam (CFPM)
$85 (covers exam and proctor fee)
In-Person classroom style exam with a review of topics prior to the exam. The course does not need to be taken for a re-certification (depending on jurisdiction).
For recertifications - Examinees must provide a copy of previous Certificate prior to taking the exam (can be from any ANAB Approved source (State Food Safety, ServSafe, NRFSP, etc ).
For first timers, the course must be completed ONLINE prior to the exam date. Examinees must provide proof of course completion prior to the exam. The online course through State Food Safety is $65
For Chesapeake, VA - you must complete the online course each time you recertify (3 years)
If the minimum class size is not met, the session may need to be rescheduled. Sessions are set-up for geographic areas. If you do not see a session scheduled for your geographic area, please let us know and we will see what we can do to get one scheduled!
Sessions CAN be scheduled for small groups at your facility for an additional mileage fee (including one-on-one). If you wish to have a session done at your facility, contact us first to set-up a date and time, and to calculate additional fees.

Click HERE to go to the State Food Safety site to take the course. Select your STATE, your JURISDICTION (county), and TRAINING ONLY. This option also gives you access to practice tests.
*There is no guarantee of a passing grade. If you fail you will need to re-take the exam. This cannot be done within 24 hours of completing the initial attempt.
Food Safety Consultation Services
On-site Consultation Audits - to assist in keeping you in compliance and avoid costly issues. The consultation includes a comprehensive, detailed audit of all areas, as well as a separate Active Managerial Control assessment. ($499)
Individual Active Managerial Control Assessment - If you don’t think you need a structured AMC program, you’re wrong! AMC is designed to reduce foodborne illness risk factors by actively leading food workers in safe food handling practices. This is a new approach by the Food Code to engage food managers in actively training and monitoring food workers. Regulatory agencies are focusing more on ACM, as it lays out a game plan to build a culture within a food service establishment, with a high emphasis on SOP’s ($299)
Separate Training Consultations ($40 / hour)
SOP’s - Our SOP’s are written educational documents that aid in training your staff. The written SOP’s come with an SOP with pictures to be posted in the work area. We have many SOP’s that are generic, needing basic modifications to make them specific to your facility ($40 each), and we have others available that are completely custom to your facility with photos ($99 each) - for a list of available SOP’s & order form, click here
Written Contamination Event Protocol (Vomit & Diarrheal Events) - Specific to your facility - $99
Variance Authoring (with SOP) - $299
Posters - We have many posters and signs that are helpful reminders for your staff, covering many topics and come laminated & in color ($10 each)
HACCP Plan authoring and training - specific to your business ($399)
Emergency Contingency plans (Crisis Management) & SSOP’s (Price varies)
